Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is part of four generations of the Robertses to reside in the Atlanta region, beginning in the family of her grand-father John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father was a young man when he was interested in theatre. While a student of Emory University in 1952 he was a part of productions at Emory University and elsewhere in Atlanta. When he was stationed in Biloxi Mississippi, he was commissioned into the air force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. In 1955, they got married and, in 1956, their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter along with his wife were discharged from their Air Force service in 1957, when they enrolled Walter at Tulane University. Walter was employed as a technician by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of the television show Bum Bum His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter and Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show that was aimed at children, named Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964, a project that they funded themselves. In 1964, Betty Lou and Walter founded the Actors and Writers Workshop. The workshop lasted about six years. They had two more children. Lelisa Billingsley (1965) (also known by the name Lisa) and Julia Billingsley (1967) (also known as Julie).
