Coleman is a native of Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman attended Arnold School in Blackpool where she was the head girl. She also gained straight As in her A-levels. In response to questions about her Emmerdale character, she said she regretted that she did not have an experience like the traditional one at university. When she was at school, Coleman was a part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. In addition to receiving a prize for her acting, the production that she performed was well-received. Coleman was chosen for the Emmerdale character Jasmine Thomas after auditioning with drama schools. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two awards. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. In 2009, the British Soap Awards 2009 nominated Coleman in categories: Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman got an award at the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press conference held on the 21st March 2012 that Coleman was to replace Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat selected her because of how well she could work alongside Smith and also because she spoke faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's worked in film and television projects. But she's had a greater presence on television rather than in movies. Eva is well-known for her work on the show Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas in CSI Miami. The role that she first appeared on television earned two Daytime Emmy nominations, and helped her develop the love of music in her. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and an philanthropist. She has been married three times, and has a daughter along with her husband.
