Kirsten Simone Vangsness is an American writer and actress who was in the spotlight after appearing as "Penelope Garcia" on the cop-driven crime drama television series 'Criminal Minds'. Kirsten Vangsness is also the main character in its counterparts, the spin-offs 'Criminal minds Beyond Borders' as well as Suspect Behavior. She's appeared in many other TV shows. In addition to her work as a TV star, she also played minor roles in films since she began her acting career in 1998. There have been some notable performances in films such as 'In My Sleep, 'The Chicago 8", and Kill Me, Deadly.' Apart from writing stories to the Los Angeles Times, she is also co-writing three episodes from 'Criminal Minds'. She has rescued and rehabilitated numerous neglected and injured cats.
