sylvester stalloneSylvester Stallone was christened Michael Sylvester Gardenzio Stallone, Hell's Kitchen in Manhattan on July 6 in 1946. He's the oldest son of Francesco Stallone Sr. (a hairdresser) and Jackie Stallone (astrologer, and dancer). Frank Stallone Sr, his younger brother, is an actor, musician, and hairdresser. Due to complications during the birth of his daughter, Sylvester's lower left side became paralyzed. The result was the now famous "snarling" speech, slurred words and distinctive look. Stallone spent some of his childhood in foster homes due to his parents' insecurities. The couple eventually divorced. Stallone studied drama at American College in Switzerland, before attending the University of Miami. He left the school before getting his degree and relocating to New York City to pursue acting as a profession.
